Now I found a WiFi setting on the ASUS RT-AX86U PRO router where one can set up
a MAC "filter" to reject devices with certain MAC addresses.
I enabled the filter and set it to reject and added the device's MAC address to
the list.
Then I "Applied" the changes and hoped for it to solve the problem.
But unfortunately the device keeps on losing connection and reconnecting every
minute or so and it is accepted so it can send packets to my MQTT broker where I
see the activity....
So that unfortunately did not work either.
Operates at -96 dBm signal level (just barely working)
