Thanks, Liam. I do appreciate your time and expertise on this.

I did exactly as you described, changing the settings from empty, to 1,
to 2, to 3, and closing and reopening Firefox each time. But made no
difference.

So this display problem seems to be sticking its tongue out at me.  :o)
