That's the PC industry. *shrug*

O_o
The old ICQ hat service shut down recently. Across the internet people
discovered it was still alive... but they could not try it because
they did not remember their passwords.
That is how i discovered even old time I.T. pros mostly do not use
password-generating systems.
I am amazed. i though this was something every pro knew.

We do passwords wrong. Tough. Work around it. The entirety of
computing is working around stuff we do wrong.
1. Make a "good" password. First address you ever lived at? Say, 42
Rock Street, Nowheretown, Mycountry.
42RSNM.
There is your base password.
Add a separator and a reminder of the name of the service. Gmail,
Google Mail, G M.
42RSNM=GM
Now, many incompetent IT companies require changes. So, add a number
on the end, with a marker.
42RSNM=GM#1
Every time you must change the password, increment the number.
42RSNM=GM#2
42RSNM=GM#3
42RSNM=GM#54
Facebook? 42RSNM=FB#13
ICQ?
42RSNM=IC
Job done. Never forget a password again.
I could still connect to my 1996 ICQ account because I worked this out in 1986.

I don't know. I've never touched a Lenovo Ideacenter in my life. Maybe? Try it?

If it can't connect, maybe it can load it from a USB key?

I don't know. It's your PC. Maybe `fwupd` can do it.

I don't know. It's your PC.

How are we supposed to know, Bo? Really, I want to help, but how should I know?
