Depending on what add-ons/plugins, you use with Firefox on Ubuntu, from 
what my wife has told me (she uses MS Windows, for which, she is a 
systems developer), the add-ons/plugins are not available for Firefox 
for Windows.

So if you really want to run Firefox on Windows, you would need to 
accept the loss of add-ons/plugins functionality, that is available for 
Firefox on Linux.

I would not bother trying to run Firefox on Windows (but, then, I would 
not bother trying to run MS Windows - I abandoned it as unusable, when 
they imposed Windows 8 - because I found MS Windows 8 to be designed to 
be obstructive).
