Humm, interesting info, thanks Bruce.

I am in the process of building an amanda box for a NAS of sorts, out of
a bannanapi-m5, and one of the things amanda, which hasn't had a new
commit since 2023, is an id_rsa keyfile.  Not currently included in the
default ssh install.  I would be interested in learning how to get
amanda up and running with the current keyfile setup, whatever its name
might be.

I'm not terribly concerned over security as I have all my local network,
currently with 8 machines, behind a late model router with dd-wrt
standing guard.  It seems to have very sharp teeth.

Cheers, Gene Heskett, CET.
