I assume so: I can log into any machine from any other with ssh, and 
copy files with scp, with normal username/password credentials.

Weirdly, it reports "Unit sshd.service could not be found."
I am surprised because I would have assumed that there needed to be some 
service enabled for it to work.

None. No requirement for.

Right. I'm fairly sure of that; there have never been any signs of 
unusual activity.

But my question was, in the light of RSA being deprecated, what should I 
be doing instead, given that a completely fresh as-new installation does 
not permit between-systems ssh/scp.
