This is what I have always assumed, but being (to the annoyance of many
over the last couple of decades!) a Linux evangelist who knows how to
set up postfix, dovecot, IPv4, IPv6, DNS, OpenWRT etc. to his own
satisfaction but doesn't understand the inner workings of all the
security protocols I just wanted to ask for confirmation.
My son, who would have been 12 or 13 years old at the time, also made
his own ssh keys on a Linux box at about the same time as I did and is
now using the same keys on his macbook and mac mini to access my home
server.
Thanks and regards to all in the community.
