Bleachbit fails to act on anything

I run Xubuntu 24.04.3 fully updated. H/w Ryzzen9, 32Gb RAM,loads of disk space.

I saw a notice here I thought useful re Bleahbit and installed it.

No mattr which option I choose in the app, after to confirmation of
intent, it always says "You must select an operation." Even the
Preview option does this.

I tried running as admin - same result.

WTH?
