Wine-related problems with Questing

Since upgrading to Ubuntu 25.10/Questing I have a problem with a 
particular application in Wine.

The program no longer remembers the size of the window between restarts
(particularly annoying since I have a machine with a 4K 3840x2160
display and one with a 1920x1200 display) and when I zoom in on a map
it no longer allows me to pan around the whole map - just a part of it.

This may not be a regressionn in Wine specifically, since this happens 
with several versions of Wine, built by Ubuntu, WineHQ or myself.
Specifically rebuilding Wine 10.4, an older version which worked with
Ubuntu 25.04/Plucky I now see the problem.

I am still using TWM and an X11 based desktop - not Wayland.

Any suggestions as to possible changes or ways I can track down what
caused this regression ?
