Well, that's what *I* do. I am not asserting that I am a guru of this
stuff. I suppose if you're about to add a package you could ensure it
doesn't waste time removing stuff you then need to add back by doing:
apt update
apt full-upgrade -y
apt install $WHATEVER
apt autoremove
