FWIW:
I have a 24.04.1 server newly installed on ASUS NUC13 and I have added the MINT
desktop for VNC access.
So I installed TigerVNC and after some config tweaking it is working OK now.

But I cannot get it running as a service so when I need to access using VNC I
have to manually start vncserver running (from an ssh shell) on display #2.

I believe it will also work with xfce...
