Your question is awfully vague. This makes it very hard to answer.

Is the problem remote or local?

Can you ping the machine from other nodes on the _local_ network?

Can you SSH from the local machine to others OK?

Is the OpenSSH server installed _and running_? Have you rebooted since 
installing it?

Are all updates in place and rebooted since?

Are you using a local firewall? If so are the local ports open?
