I gave up trying the transplant route, there seems to be so many obstacles and
also considering that my server was originally a 16.04.1 device dist-upgraded:
16.04.1 => 18.04.1 => 20.04.1 => 22.04.1 => finally 24.04.1
it probably was time to re-birth it and install fresh the things I need.
So I have done a test of doing this and I am now almost (?) done, there are only
a few items left functionally. I could use the original as template for
configurations etc and also to transfer files like logins and the like.
But I save that for another thread here.
Thanks for all the advice/help on this endeavour!
