I have a NUC-13 based Ubuntu 24.94 server installation where I have installed
the MATE desktop later.
I have also installed TigerVNC in order to access the MATE desktop from, my main
Windows 10 PC. THe visual access works just fine and today I tested running a
video on VLC via TigerVNC.
The video displays just fine on the client PC usin g the RealVNC client but the
audio is exiting the loudspeakers connected to the NUC13 server rather than the
Windows10 PC speaker.
I have tried googling but FireFox/Google AI responses show up with misunderstood
basics...
So I turn to the list hoping it is a simple case for people in the lnow...
What can I do in order to make the audio also transfer?
Note that VNC is operating on screen #2, i.e. not on the physical screen
attached to the NUC13.
When I use VNC (normally without audio) on my Linux boxes I want to set up a
custom screen size, not necessarily mirroting the physical monitor attached,
hence the screen #2.
I need this running by the end of week when I move to my summer home away from
the NUC13 server which is still accessible via VPN from there.
TIA
