1.That seems a bit low.  Getting a 4G scsi micropolis for one of our

amiga's back was about $200, something like 30 years ago.  Some

of that may have been since it was scsi, and most places ran for

the hills when they found out the only place we had PC's was the

terminals in the news department, we had amiga's in the gfx chain,

lots of them.  Then linux got usable at higher resolutions & the rest

is history.

2. Smaller SSD's, 1T being small today. Up to 600 megs/second on

good sata-iii interfaces.
