IMHO you are taking the wrong approach with this.

Linux kernel `mdraid` is fine, ext4 is fine, but Ubuntu Server has ZFS 
and ZFS is better in every important way.

This would be quicker and easier if you use ZFS to make a ZRAID. As big 
as possible with all the drives in it, and use datasets to split space 
up if needed.

Secondly, my advice is never _ever_ use any "AI". Read and understand 
yourself. Don't trust these tools because they work only and entirely by 
making stuff up and you can't tell when it's made up except _if you know 
yourself._
