Morning All

After doing a bit of "spring cleaning" (may or may not be why) of duplicate or
unwanted apps on Noble I have lost network connection

I tried downloading and installing network-manager &
network-manager-conectivity

apt install reported that both were already latest version

I then (probably) made things worse by

apt remove network-manager
apt install network-manager

now network is also gone from system settings, if I click the network icon on
top bar and choose settings it goes to system settings window but no network
there

is there away to get some level of connection back, I have another noble os on
same box or the original live USB "if" they may help

I know the hardware is working because the other OS's on this machine all have
network

My searches for solutions all missed the point that there is no network

Many thanks for any help
