(temporary) support for old SSL/TLS versions?

Hello all,

I have an HP deskjet 8600 printer with an embedded web server which is used
for configuring it. This printer is about 10 years old and HP refuses to
provide an upgarde for TLS 1.2 support. (smells like planned obsolescence :-( )

ubuntu-24.04 disabled older TLS versions for security reasons, which is a good
thing. But the consequence is, that I have to scrap this (still working)
printer into the big bin if thre is no way to configure it.

Communication to the printer is on a very restricted VLAN, so there is not
much of risk that an attacker could do much harm.

Maybe there exist some sort of "proxy" which would be able to translate newer
TLS versions to anything this old printer can/would accept?

Any help?
