Where is logged cron activity?

I am a Centos/Fedora and I am use to seeing what cron is doing by 
looking at /var/log/cron

No such file on my Ubuntu 22 system and using locate, I can't find a 
similar file.

I am trying to add a job to /etc/crontab

I have supposedly set it up to run every hour and pipe its output to a 
file, but I am not seeing any updates to the said file.  So I want to 
see what cron is up to.

Pointers please?
