RTApi

I have an application that I haven't used for awhile, possibly before 
Xubuntu 24.10 became available. I'm not certain of that but the 
application did work correctly in the past without generating the 
following error message. By the way, I have updated the application and 
of course I still see the same error message. I currently have Xubuntu 
25.10.

RtApi::getDeviceInfo: deviceId argument not found.

After some Internet searching it seems that RtApi is a simulated 
real-time audio device that's built into the kernel. Modprobe shows that 
I don't have the module.

I found some information on github that describes how to build the 
module but the instructions aren't specific to Ubuntu or it's derivates.

So, how should I make my installation aware of RtApi?
