Microphone not working when using Google Meet.

Using Google Meet in Firefox 145.0.1 (64-bit) on Ubuntu Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS.

I cannot get my microphone to work. Noticed in Ubuntu Settings -> Apps ->
Firefox -> Play and record sound was turned off, so turned that on, without
a result.

Notice that an icon of a microphone comes up as a status notification in
the top right of my screen (see attached). I would assume this has
something to do with what is going on. It appears only when I use Google
Meet and goes away when I stop.

I don't use my microphone for anything else.

Any suggestions?
