Hi,
if only that were the case, then it wouldn't be so bad.
In fact, this has become the norm at all levels. At work, in political
discourse, and so on.
This is precisely what will lead to the decline of today's high culture,
because there will be no more moderation and no more compromise.
We live in an age of dishonest business practices. Differences of
opinion are not resolved, but glossed over. According to the motto: a
plastic bag is offset by a tree planted virtually on paper. Thanks to
modern means of manipulation, wars are actually sold to the majority of
the population in a completely infantile and simplistic way.
Off-topic? No, because these are small things, like views on a desktop
environment, or how someone looks at the pedestrian zone and the train
station in their hometown.
Yes, but we are a technical mailing list, a technical forum, that has
nothing to do with us. Okay, but FLOSS was once a movement that looked
beyond the technical.
In short, no matter where you go, this is the wrong place to think and
discuss holistically.
Regards,
Ralf
