My approach to this is to enable the "Receive acknowledgement mail
when you send mail to the list?" option in the mailing-list settings
and to also save my outgoing messages. That way, I already have the
complete threads at my end and I also instantly get an email from the
mailing-list verifying that the server received a message from me.
