Bleachbit fails to act on anything

Ah, okay. Earlier, when I gave Google the output you're getting in
BleachBit, it said that this can happen if you use incomplete options
with the command, but if you're getting the error even when launching
the program from the menu, that isn't likely to be the cause since the
menu entry doesn't use any options.

When I repeated that search just now, the Google AI said it means you
haven't checked any of the boxes in the left pane to choose
something to preview or clean before clicking the "Preview" or
"Clean" buttons, but you said you have chosen options.

I did a deep-dive with the AI bot to find out what can cause it even
if a choice is made in the left pane and it had a few suggestions,
the first of which you've already tried, but maybe one of the others
will fix it:

* Run BleachBit with administrator privileges.
* Check for a corrupt configuration file by renaming the
  ~/.config/bleachbit/bleachbit.ini file so that it gets recreated.
* Run BleachBit in debug mode and check the logs by replacing
  username with your username in this command: bleachbit --gui
  --debug-log=/home/username/bleachbit.log
* Check for conflicting software that can block BleathBit from
  functioning correctly, like antivirus or security software.
* Uninstall and reinstall BleachBit.
