Do you happen to be subscribed to the announce list
ubuntu-security-announce at lists.ubuntu.com
?

I am subscribed to that, and look for security updates applicable to me 
(where 22.04 is a listed version to which announced updates are applicable).

Also, my Update manager is always in the tray thing, and, it changes 
when updates are available. It shows as a greyed out shield with a tick 
in it, when the system is up to date, and, as a darker outline shield 
with a solid blue circle in it, when updates are available.
