I think the Snap appeal is cross-distribution compatibility. It is
appealing to developers and packagers.
I never acquired a taste for Snap. I don't want to learn yet another
package manager tool. And I don't want to manage its bloat. We had one
server run out of disk space because of an endless stream of Snap
packages being downloaded and older Snap packages never being purged.
