The never ending problem is that 'standards' evolve, and always the
general purpose s/w will be playing catchup with the specs and
hardware manufacturers.

It would be worth booting off a live 24.04 or even 25.04 Ubuntu USB
stick to see if it works on the later kernel/libraries.
