When Wayland started, they considered remote access a major security risk,
and did not prioritise it; although they did admit that it was something 
that would need to be considered eventually (unlike Mir, who at the time 
appeared not to care).

Given that wayvnc was working before Ubuntu made Wayland the default,
I am prepared to believe that they *did* take remote acceess into account.

But like Liam, my first reponse to your question was a hollow laugh.
