[ubuntu-x] bug 973096 a critical one, What about 12.04 users?

Hi all,

I have been getting a lot of bug emails about bug 973096[0] which is
affecting quite a large number of nvidia users. The issue is fixed in
latest nvidia binary but we really need it to be fixed for 12.04 users. In
some cases people blame unity for the crash as well.

Could you guys look into this for 12.04? maybe talk to Nvidia?

PS: I dont use nvidia so not affected by this bug.
