Hi Adi,
Some background: While you were having an Ubuntu course at WITS, we were
teaching a Ubuntu/Octave/Python course at AIMS. AIMS' current course is
partly sponsored by Go Open Source. You should visit sometime, let me
know when you are in Cape Town. Ian Sanders and Hein Kruger is currently
here teaching Python. Derek Keats and Nhlanhla Mabaso spoke at the
opening (ask Nhlanhla what AIMS is like!). We finish tomorrow.

Is there someone specifically I could talk to about the Cape Town event.
Essentially I would like to decide whether I should join in there, or
have another event.

I would ask for merchandise if we have a separate event.

I often volunteer and interact with TSF. This kind of event will draw
lots of CLUG and SULUG volunteers, I'm sure.

I'd say Science, rather than Education, is our focus, Education is
perhaps a secondary focus.

Of course. Could you ask someone at Go Open involved in SFD events to
post here? I don't see anything on the website.
cheers,
Jan
