Sleeping with the Art and tech teacher is a definite plus!

At my wife's school there are a number of issues at work
that make this kind of thing easier...

IT Master / Administrator that is very keen to try new things.

Headmaster that will find the funds (even if we have to
fundraise for a spacial project) for a project if you
present a decent case for it.

A link with Nissan in that they are sponsoring schools to
come into dealerships and workshops (I will get the
documentation and forward it to you)

I can link this in that a client of mine has agreed to let
us bring the kids around the same day that we do the nissan
thing, the client is an engineering shop and we can show the
kids the whole shebang from the 2D and 3D cad work down to
the CNC milling machines / Laser cutters / bendbrakes etc.

Then we will link this up hopefully in the classrooms with
CAD packages running on the Linux workstations.

All of this is covered in the schools curricula and so the
schools need to make some sort of attempt at doing it.

Jean
