Hi There,
What follows below was brought to my attention and hence I figured I'd hop
on and reply.
If you are finding that if the za.* ubuntu servers are slower than
international servers from an iBurst connection, can you send me some
traceroutes and some ping plots to the za.releases.ubuntu.com and
za.archive.ubuntu.com servers for me to look at. Particularly with regards
to traceroutes.
If there are connectivity issues with us and iBurst I will attempt to enter
negotiations with iBurst for a private peering circuit to alleviate this
problem, but I need more information before I can do this.
Many Thanks
Andrew Alston

Hiya,
This may be a stupid question, but why does the "Software Sources" app,
when ping-testing all 185 download servers, find that ftp.belnet.be is
faster than either of the South African servers?
Should I pay any attention?
I'm on iBurst, if that makes a difference.
PS. Apologies for not making it to the Joburg Gutsy party. Was feeling a
little, ehm, fragile on Sunday.
