Ah, so do not edit crontab as per my suggestion. Edit /etc/cron.d/anacron
and change 7 to 1.

The way it is done they will be donwloaded at night, but you can run the 
actual install the next morning -- so you can deal with problems.

But watch out for an update of anacron overwriting the time which
this happens by installing a new version of /etc/cron.d/anacron.
