Good day South Africa!

I've created a team on the Ubuntu Launchpad: Dubuntu - Ubuntu for
Developers (https://launchpad.net/~dubuntu-team)

Also see: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=972263

I'm hoping that some South African pride will convince you to join me in
my effort. My apologies if this is "out of the ordinary".

About myself:

I've been developing embedded applications using Linux for the last 6
years. I now have my own company focussed on this activity: RecoSys
(www.recosys.co.za)

I've only switched to Ubuntu in the last mounth. I loved the
distribution but found the lack of pre-installed/configured development
environments quite surprising.

I found a lot of "talk" on the subject in forums and some effort to kick
start such a project. Will you join me?

I will drive the effort and continue work (with permission) on the
Blueprints and Wiki. I will also start a project on a dedicated
installer.

All I need from you is your input and advice if you have any to give.

Best regards
Charl Wentzel (wistle)
