[ubuntu-za] Ubuwiki Live released to mark Software Freedom Day

Ubuwiki Live, a digest of free content specially formatted for Ubuntu, has been released to mark Software Freedom Day. What is unique about the Internet bundle available from Sourceforge.net, is that it exists entirely within a self-contained XHTML file. The application is the result of work carried out by the Wiki on a Stick (WoaS) project in conjunction with Indlovu, a South African Intermediate Technology initiative. As the person responsible, I can say I am quite pleased with the result and hopefully similar such offerings will be on the way to enliven the Ubuntu experience. However,  I've probably destroyed Windows in the process and life is never going to be the same.

Hi Folks,
I'm hoping someone can help here.
On 20-09, Mumia W wrote that he couldn't turn off his pc,blank screen, 
still runs, except by pushing the off button.
I have a similar problem with a slight difference - When selecting the 
reboot or shut down options on screen, the screen goes blank, but the pc 
keeps running. Here is where I differ from Mumia, my *Off* button on the 
box freezes & the only way is to push the Restart button(which still 
responds) & go into windows in order to shut down.
Mumia was asked to supply the outputs from the following commands - I've 
taken the liberty of doing the same, in the hope that this will be of 
some help in sorting my problem.
My pc is a desktop, 1.7GHZ CPU, 512MB ram,P4.
