Hi Charl,

I am the proud owner of an Acer Aspire One. I have the 150 (windows)
model which is a bit bigger with 1Gb Ram and a 120Gb harddrive. I have
not tried Jaunty on it yet, but it ran great with 8.10.

I bought mine last year in October and by this time the bigger models
are cheaper (R4000 for the 160Gb hdd, still 1Gb RAM). Before buying mine
I've done some research before deciding on one: The main reason most
other people preferred the AAO over the EEEPC (didn't research on the MS
Wind) was the keyboard regarding the shift key. The EEEPC's right shift
and the navigation keys are positioned terribly and the [up] key gets
pressed more often than the shift key.
About 2 months ago I hat the opportunity (pain) to work with an EEEPC,
the 700 or 701, not sure. It ran Jaunty off a memorystick(3Gb) because
the default Xandros wasn't nice at all. I tried to install but the 2Gb
SSD didn't think it was funny to try Ubuntu. Jaunty ran quite well, even
the extra desktop effects! (oh ya, what they said about the shift key:
they didn't lie).

Hope this helps!
