Where are you, as some people might already have downloaded the repositories, and you can possibly get the repos from them

Hi Jonathan.

Yes, these dependencies are a little bit overwhelming at first, but
fortunately the PPA lists the content for the package, enabling you to
download each .deb just like you suggest. I hope to get them all, I
also found some other packages on the Medibuntu site which I'm going
to give a shot as well. I was a little surprised when I could not play
MP3's, but then there's only so much you can include on a CD.

What is encouraging, is that I was able to continue working in
OpenOffice, without a glitch, and I have found the required packages
to get my NetBeans updated. I'm looking forward to getting to know
Linux, and finally be rid of .Net, which has been creeping into my
life, no matter what I did.
