[ubuntu-za] Close, minimize, expand buttons gone

hello all, i just made a restart of my ubuntu box, after uninstalling 
Firefox, when the system got back on, i noticed every window that i 
opened, be it, nautilus, a a settings window, another browser and etc
i couldn't find those 3 buttons, minimize, close and maximize buttons on 
the top right corner, and i cant even drag the windows around

what can fix this as i cant seem to find a solution?
