Greetings
I have weird one regarding the LCD screen on my notebook screen.
Over time, the screen brightness dim's - usually after reboots or
hibernations.
I know that Ubuntu has a power saving function where it dim's the
backlight of the screen to save power - especially when running on
battery and it seems to visually recover when I plug power back in but
eventually the screen gets so dim I can bearly see the display.
Thus far the only way to fix it is to boot back into M$ Vista,
shutdown and boot into Ubuntu and the screen returns to its usual
brightness only to start fading again. I have scavenged through all
the configs and Googled but can't seem to find an option or setting to
correct this. I have turned all screen related power saving functions
off and anything even vaguely related to no avail.
