Thank you Craig and for those that are interested ZenMap is preferred by 
Ubuntu to nmapfe.
sudo apt-get install nmapfe
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting zenmap instead of nmapfe
