Hi All,

Sorry about posting off topic. It is for something that will eventually 
be driven by Ubuntu if it helps :-)

I'm looking for broken DVD-Writers for a science/technical/hardware 
hacking project.
Specifically I need the lasers from the DVD-writers, however the other 
components may be useful.

*** Please note: I am not looking for CD-writer/DVD-ROM drives as their 
lasers are not suitable to my requirements.

On that note I am also looking for cheap *high power* laser pointers as 
they may also be suitable. The cheap/dodgy R15 beach front/corner shop 
types are not powerful enough.

I am willing to collect from Durban and surrounds.

Please contact me off list (I don't want to piss of a thousand Ubuntu 
list subscribers even more than I already have ;-)
