Hi Guys

I've been having problem with my ADSL line.  It intermittently goes up
and down. (Nothing to do with the wind.)

Telkom is "working" on the problem, but I want to be able to confirm the
result.  Is there a utility that could for example ping a server on the
internet at regular intervals and then generate a log file of when and
for how long the line when off?

I know ping can give you basic stats, but I want to log only the time
and duration of the "offline" events.
