Apart from some Intel graphics problems (easily resolved) Ubuntu runs
flawlessly on my Fujitsu Siemens laptop with PCMCMIA Wifi card and
Bluetooth dongle. This an elderly machine, but I would imagine that more
recent models will retain the compatibility.
Why not ask the various salesmen who must compete for you business whether
you can boot the potential machine using a Live CD?
