Thanks Lee
I haven't really given up on this - was just feeling a little
overwhelmed at the time by my lack of knowledge. Taking a calmer look
at /dev/v4l I find that while it contains only a folder called
"by-path", that folder contains links to video0 and vbi0. I hang my head
in shame.
I want to say that I really appreciate how patient and helpful you guys
are with a newcomer to linux. I know that you have jobs to do whereas at
my age (78) I have all the time in the world - I hope :-)
Thanks again
Robert
