Oops, re-reading your email, it looks like you could find Software 
Sources but did not know what to change.

In Software Sources, select "Ubuntu Software" tab ( the first one).
Then under the caption "Downloadable from the Internet", tick all the 
boxes except for the last one called "Source Code"
