Is the text of the previous e-mail read-only? Can you not go and manually
edit it?

My web-based mail client puts my cursor at the top of the e-mail as well,
so all I do is move my cursor down a few lines, press enter a few times,
and start typing there. I don't see how OWA could be retarded enough to not
allow you to do that. Then again, I don't use OWA, so I don't really know
how retarded it actually is.
