I'm running Karmic on my Acer Aspire One netbook and with the last Intel
driver updates my performance has been great. I also installed
gnome-shell (from the gnome-shell package), you can run it by pressing
alt+f2 and typing "gnome-shell --replace". It's working well for the
small screen and it's quite snappy too.
