Hi Lee
Thanks for the reply. Since my last email I have actually done nearly that.
I turned on netbook with flashdrive in, and booted in linpus
I then removed flashdrive and got into terminal
The did the following (at least if my memory serves me correctly):
sudo grub
root (hd0,0)
setup (hd0)
This then repaired the MBR to boot to old grub 0.97 on linpus SSD drive.
The problem I have now is that I cannot get it to boot into ubuntu on the
flashdrive.
I have tried changing boot order in BIOS but it doesnt boot from flashdrive
and then proceeds to boot linpus from the SSD.
I have now been trying to modify the grub.conf in linpus to get grub 0.97 to
chainload grub2 on the flashdrive but with no success.
I added the following to /boot/grub/grub.conf in linpus:
title Grub2 on flashdrive
root (hd1,0)
chainloader +1
However, when the computer boots, it does not give me any grub menu or
anything but simply boots straight into linpus....
Any further ideas?
Thanks!
