Hey guys,
I am experiencing random freezes on my 10.10 64bit installation lately. Has
anyone else been having issues with this?
I've seen quite a bit of posts on the forums regarding this matter (even
with 10.04, which for some reason worked fine for me).
I think it's a kernel problem to be honest but not sure if I can install a
more reliable kernel. Has anyone found some form of a work around yet?
I've been having freezing problems on 10.10 32bit installation too.
I believe mine may be related to the first freeze that I had while I had
an external HDD attached and mounted on a USB port. Since then, when
booting I have numerous error messages relating to this FreeAgent drive
and the fact that it is still "mounted". It isn't, nor is it physically
connected anymore. I cant get rid of the messages, nor unmount it as it
is not mounted.
Any advice on this issue would be appreciated. Anyway, I think that that
may be causing an inordinate number/frequency of freezes requiring full
rebooting (Keyboard, mouse etc all dead).
