Yes, like I said I have no experience with Kexi. It sounds like I should avoid it...

Right now, in all honesty, I'd drop the easy routes and spend the time learning about PHP. That way you can make sure your data ends up in PostgreSQL and customise the interface as well. 

That's the best suggestion I have : when in doubt, roll your own.
